An exploration and examination of using Time Travel in a story. The lecture will first provide an overview for the definition of space-time, how time measures, and the fundamental physics behind the possibility of time-travel (and the two competing hypotheses). The lecture will then list a number of essential rules one must follow when using time travel. Adhering to them will avoid serious (and oft repeated) problems that all-to-often sabotage an author's intent. Numerous examples (and brief critiques) from traditional and pop literature as well as television shows and movies will pepper the entire presentation. Topics of course include all those sexy paradoxes, which everyone seems to adore.
